Supported Independent Living (SIL) across Sydney, 24/7 support in a real home, on your terms.

Moving out of home, leaving care, or finding somewhere that finally feels like yours, these are big steps. They should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
Our SIL homes are in regular Sydney suburbs, not industrial complexes or institutional buildings.
We don't just put any participants together. We spend time understanding personalities, routines, communication styles.
Some participants need overnight active support. Others just need someone within reach. We design the support level to fit you.
SIL with us isn't about doing things for you, it's about doing things alongside you, so you build skills over time.
Our Supported Independent Living homes give you the freedom to live the way you want, with as much or as little support as you need. You get your own room, your own routine, your own life, with a team backing you up that's there 24/7.

Tell us what you're looking for and we'll talk through what's available.
SIL is funded under Core Supports in your NDIS plan and is for participants who need a high level of daily support to live independently. SIL is the support. It doesn't pay for the rent or the property itself.

A quick chat about what excites you, a first outing, and a routine that becomes part of your week.
We have a chat about what you're looking for, type of home, location, housemates, support level.
If we have a vacancy that might suit, we arrange a visit. You meet the team and see the space.
Before committing, we usually arrange a short trial stay so you can see how it feels.
Once you're happy, we help with the move and the setup. Extra check-ins in the first few weeks.
See below the most commonly asked questions we get at Able to Thrive.
SIL (Supported Independent Living) is the support: the workers, the help, the daily care. SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) is the building: purpose-built housing for people with very high support needs.
Not necessarily. Most homes are shared with 1-3 others because that's the most cost-effective use of NDIS funding. But individual SIL is possible if it's clinically justified.
We do our best with matching upfront, but if it's not working we'll work on it together, mediation, schedule changes, or in some cases a move to a different home.
Of course. It's your home.
Our minimum is 3 hours per session across all our supports. The 3-hour minimum lets us provide quality, unhurried support, and matches the way most NDIS providers work.
We require 48 hours notice for cancellations. We're lenient where there's a genuine reason, illness, hospital admission, family emergency. We just ask that you let us know as early as you can. We'll always explain the policy clearly in your Service Agreement before services begin.
Yes, most of our supports can be funded under Core Supports or Capacity Building, depending on the goal of the session. If the focus is day-to-day support it usually sits under Core; if the focus is skill-building it sits under Capacity Building. Contact our team and we'll help work out which funding category fits your situation.
Tell us what you've always wanted to do. We'll help you make it happen.
