Common questions

What people ask before getting started

How quickly can a support worker start?

Often within a few days. After our free consult and home meet-and-greet, we can usually have your matched worker out within the week.

Will I get the same support worker every visit?

Yes. We don't rotate staff like a roster. You get the same trusted worker, and we have backup workers in case yours is unavailable.

What's the minimum session length?

Usually 3 hours. This gives enough time to genuinely help, not just rush in and out.

Do I need an NDIS plan already?

Not necessarily. If you have one, great. If not, we can talk you through whether NDIS might be right for you.

Do you provide receipts for the NDIS?

Yes, fully NDIS-compliant invoicing for self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants.

How much does it cost?
We charge the standard NDIS price guide rates set by the government, with no markup and no hidden fees. Weekday support uses the standard rate, and evenings, weekends and public holidays use the published NDIS rates for those times. You'll see everything upfront before anything starts.
Can I use plan-managed, self-managed, or NDIA-managed funding?
All three. We can invoice your plan manager, send you receipts to claim through the NDIS portal, or bill the NDIA directly. Whichever way your plan is set up, we can work with it.
What if I don't click with my support worker?
Just tell us. We'll match you with someone different. Finding the right fit matters and we don't take it personally. The whole point of 1:1 support is the relationship.
How are your support workers screened and trained?
Every worker has NDIS Worker Screening clearance, a current First Aid certificate, and a Working with Children Check where relevant. We also do our own onboarding and ongoing training in things like manual handling, medication assistance and trauma-informed care.
Do you work with complex needs?
Yes. We support people with high physical needs, behaviours of concern, psychosocial disability, complex medical needs and more. Tell us your situation and we'll let you know honestly if we're the right fit.
How do I switch from my current provider?
Easier than most people think. You give your current provider notice (usually 14 days), we step in when they step out. We can walk you through it and help with any handover paperwork. No awkward conversations on your side.
